The North American Aviation F-86 Sabre is the first generation fighter aircraft designed by the United States after World War II, used for air combat, interdiction and bombing. First flown on October 1, 1947, and commissioned in 1949, the F-86 is the most successful U.S. jet fighter design ever. This type in addition to a large number of variants and military support, also derived from the navy version of the FJ Fury series of fighters. The F-86 is the first aircraft in the world to reach supersonic speeds in a dive and the first fighter that can carry air-to-air missiles. Its aerial counterpart is the Soviet mig-15. The F-86F is the main type of the daylight saber, and the F-type is equipped with the more powerful J47-GE-27 engine. The F-86F has a combat radius of 690km when carrying two supplementary fuel tanks. The aircraft is equipped with the LABS (Low Altitude Bombing System), which is used to deliver a small tactical nuclear MK12 bomb.
